Basketball Game Preview: University Christian Christians vs. Providence School Stallions

University Christian is 2-8 against Providence School since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The University Christian Christians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Providence School Stallions at 7:00 p.m. University Christian will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

University Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 79-50 victory over San Jose Prep. The Christians' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Adalbert Allotey, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 boards. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 20 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Duncan, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 15 points.

University Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 23 consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Providence School beat Bishop Snyder 46-36 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Stallions.

University Christian is also on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for Providence School, their win bumped their record up to 15-11.

University Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Providence School in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 51-48. Will University Christian repeat their success, or does Providence School have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
