Springfield is a perfect 10-0 against Western Reserve since October of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Springfield will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
Springfield is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 42-6 victory over Jackson-Milton. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Bluejays recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Springfield found their leader in sophomore Alex Caldwell, who rushed for 173 yards and three scores. Those 173 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Caldwell.
Springfield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 251 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.
Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 6-6 at halftime, Western Reserve was not quite Memorial's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell 24-19 to the Red Devils.
Springfield will have to keep a close watch on Nate Alexander and Jayden Goddard, a pair of players who had a big impact on Western Reserve's prior game. Alexander gained 159 total yards, while Goddard picked up 18 receiving yards and one touchdown. Alexander was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 54 yards.
Springfield now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Western Reserve, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Springfield has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 204 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Western Reserve struggles in that department as they've been averaging 214.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
