It was a Battle of the Birds when St. John Paul II duked it out with Columbia on Monday. The Falcons walked away with a 2-0 win over the Eagles. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

While St. John Paul II won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-22.

Among those leading the charge was Bella Grant, who had five digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last eight games. Emme Grant also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.
