Cristo Rey Research Triangle has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 192 points over their last three games.
Even though Varsity Opponent scored an imposing 57 points on Thursday, Cristo Rey Research Triangle still came out on top. Cristo Rey Research Triangle enjoyed a cozy 71-57 victory over Varsity Opponent.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cristo Rey Research Triangle to victory, but perhaps none more so than Christian Gill, who scored 32 points along with six rebounds and five steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Gill has scored at least a third of Cristo Rey Research Triangle's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamaal Miller, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Burlington Christian Academy pushed their score all the way to 67 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 72-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of Forsyth Country Day. It was the first time this season that Burlington Christian Academy let down their fans at home.
The win got Cristo Rey Research Triangle back to even at 6-6. As for Burlington Christian Academy, their loss ended a 14-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-4.
