Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Tornillo Coyotes, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They had to suffer through a rough 66-0 loss at the hands of Wall. Tornillo's loss keeps them winless this season.
Among those leading the charge was Nathan Pepper, who rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown. Pepper was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 57 yards. Ethan Quinney made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Tornillo has yet to win a game on the road this season, leaving them with a 0-10 record. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 0.7 points per game. As for Wall, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
Tornillo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wall will face off against Childress at TBD on Friday. Childress is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
