For the second straight game, Mineral Ridge will face off against Memorial. The Rams will challenge the Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mineral Ridge has six straight wins, Memorial has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Mineral Ridge is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over Memorial on Monday. With that victory, the Rams brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Jack Gillie was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and four runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Mineral Ridge let Justin Dailey and Xavier Klamer run wild. Dailey went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Klamer went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most runs Dailey has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Vestorsky, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Mineral Ridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .629. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Mineral Ridge pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
Memorial's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Mineral Ridge has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Memorial, though, as they've been averaging only 3.7 strikeouts. Will Mineral Ridge keep running through batters, or will the Red Devils buck the trend?
