Even though The Blanco Panthers have not done well against the Llano Yellowjackets recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Blanco took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 55-24 win over Llano. The result was nothing new for Blanco, who have now won four games by 22 points or more so far this season.
Cameron Anderson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 174 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, while also throwing for 100 yards and a touchdown on only nine passes. Anderson's longest rush was for an incredible 92 yards. Carson Smith was in the mix as well, providing Blanco with two touchdowns.
Several Yellowjackets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luke Davis, who threw for 264 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie White, who picked up 101 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Blanco is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Llano, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Ingram Moore the next time they take the field. Blanco will host Ingram Moore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Llano will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
