The Wade Hampton Generals will head out to square off against the James F. Byrnes Rebels at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. James F. Byrnes took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Wade Hampton, who comes in off a win.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Wade Hampton and Eastside, and Wade Hampton kept the tradition alive. The Generals were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Eagles on Thursday. The Generals not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 19, 2024 (when they won 12-5).
Jack Stepp made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. Stepp was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Jonas Moore was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Trevin Quinn also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Riverside hit James F. Byrnes with a six-run third inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rebels fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Rebels have suffered since April 10, 2024.
James F. Byrnes also got a good showing from Jack Bailey, who pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Bailey has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Blake Collins stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double. Landon Hulehan was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Wade Hampton's record now sits at 6-10. As for James F. Byrnes, they moved to 11-8 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
