After a string of four wins, the Bellevue Redmen's's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 64-53 to Sandusky. Bellevue lost against Sandusky in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 73-45 score last time.
Jason Henlon continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Sandusky, scoring 20 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. The match was Henlon's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kobe Brown, who scored 17 points.
Bellevue's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-2. As for Sandusky, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with that victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bellevue won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Ross at 7:15 p.m. on January 5th. Ross will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 288th, while Bellevue is ranked 47th). As for Sandusky, they will head out on the road to face off against Willard at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
