On Friday, Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They made easy work of Middle College and carried off a 33-6 victory. Middle College can consider this payback for the 0-20 loss they dealt Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering the last time the teams encountered one another.
Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering got off to a slow start in their last-week contest, but they had no such trouble against Middle College and cruised to a 26-point first half. Middle College countered with 6 points, leaving the score at 26-6 going into the half. The Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the game. The matchup brought Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering to 4-2 and dropped Middle College to a mirror-image 2-4.
Next week Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering take on KIPP Collegiate at at Booker T Washington at 7:00 PM. Unlike Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering, KIPP Collegiate will be limping in after taking a loss. As for Middle College, they will face off against Hillcrest.
