The Atlanta Girls' School Hurricanes's found some homefield redemption this week after a tough overtime loss to the Furtah Prep Falcons on Tuesday. Atlanta Girls' School came out on top against Atlanta Classical Academy by a score of 48-38. That's another feather in the cap for Atlanta Girls' School, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Atlanta Girls' School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jade Williams led the charge by scoring 2 points along with 21 rebounds and 4 blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Libby Knott, who scored 18 points.
The victory got Atlanta Girls' School back to even at 2-2. As for Atlanta Classical Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Atlanta Girls' School will challenge Creekside Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Creekside Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday. As for Atlanta Classical Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Cross Keys at 5:30 p.m. on December 7th.
