The biggest upset of the week belonged to Simmons, who took down 219th ranked J.Z. George, 46-26. Tokir Winters ran for 143 yards during the win.
Fans got a thrill when Tyshawn Conway and Dekeenan Boyd connected against Leland. The longest such play in 2A Region 3 this season, the connection resulted in 66 yards.
West Bolivar's dynamic duo of Conway and Boyd proved tough for the Cubs to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Conway threw for 117 yards and 1 touchdown and Boyd had 66 yards receiving. Deguadereck Rice helped West Bolivar's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 51 yards.
South Delta's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Bulldogs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Aric Davis has thrown for 816 yards and 7 touchdowns this season, while Terrale Washington has 27 catches for 517 yards.
The Blue Devils are in third place, while the Eagles are in first place.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Simmons takes on West Bolivar. Antoine Kimble's team has allowed 181 points this season, while Joac Williams' team has given up 81. The Blue Devils allowed 26 points last week as they topped the Jaguars.
The Eagles extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Leland, 28-0. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
