Bluffton extended the longest winning streak in AAAA Region VIII this week by beating Colleton County, 63-12. The win marks 10th in a row for the the Bobcats.
Bluffton's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. C.J. Frazier threw for 99 yards and Gerald Robinson had 35 yards receiving. On the ground Tykeem Major chipped in 198 yards. Demetrius Smalls helped Bluffton's passing attack out by catching one ball for 23 yards.
Bluffton's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bobcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Frazier has thrown for 1956 yards and 30 touchdowns this season, while Smalls has 40 catches for 657 yards. Major leads the league in rushing with 711 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Bluffton takes on second place Summerville. Ken Cribb's team topped the Cougars last week, while Summerville bested Ashley Ridge.
The Bobcats' Frazier is within 44 passing yards of surpassing 2,000 on the season coming into this week's game against the Green Wave.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Summerville takes on Bluffton. John Mckissick's team has allowed 236 points this season, while the Bobcats have given up 100. The Green Wave allowed 21 points last week as they beat Ashley Ridge.
