The Iroquois Braves lost against the North East Grape Pickers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Iroquois took a 56-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of North East. Iroquois has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Braves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Orlando Brown, who scored 15 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Devin Brink, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds.
Iroquois has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season. As for North East, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-6.
Iroquois will be playing in front of their home fans against Mercyhurst Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Iroquois: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Mercyhurst Prep has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road. As for North East, they will square off against Fairview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North East has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 189 points over their last three matchups.
