The Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology Colonials''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 21-20 to Manassas Park. Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Manassas Park apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2021.
Despite the loss, Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology saw an underclassman step up: Abdul Bundu rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries. Bundu was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards.
Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-6. More embarrasing are the teams that make up that slump in performance: Manassas Park, Park View, and Lewis. As for Manassas Park, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-8.
Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Virginia Academy at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Manassas Park is on the road again on October 30th and play against Armstrong/Kennedy at 6:00 p.m. on October 30th.
