Zereian Quarles was his usual excellent self, rushing for 308 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 17.1 yards per carry, and also picking up 47 receiving yards and a touchdown. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 83-yard run. Joe Fernandez was another key player, throwing for 137 yards and two touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes.
Pebble Hills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Anthony Vasquez. He also set a new season high mark in total tackles with 19. Pebble Hills got some further help from Dorian Jaramillo: he made 17 total tackles (1.0 for loss).
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Pebble Hills was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 397 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 171 rushing yards in six consecutive games.
Socorro's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Pebble Hills, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season.
