The Blair Vikings on the road again on Monday and play against the Sherman Oaks CES Knights at 4:30 p.m. on January 22nd. Blair knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 20 matches -- so hopefully Sherman Oaks CES likes a good challenge.
Even though Monrovia scored an imposing 59 points on Friday, Blair still came out on top. Blair took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 86-59 win over Monrovia. Given Blair's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 402nd, while Monrovia is ranked 893rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Blair's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Timmy Anderson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 40 points and 12 assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Anderson has scored at least a third of Blair's points. Nazsir Cammon was another key contributor, scoring 27 points.
Meanwhile, Sherman Oaks CES entered their tilt with Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Sherman Oaks CES had just enough and edged Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences out 57-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Sherman Oaks CES has posted since November 15, 2023.
Blair's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Sherman Oaks CES, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.
