Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Georgetown Visitation Prep's Seventh in Last Nine Outings

Georgetown Visitation Prep lost to St. Andrew's Episcopal back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Georgetown Visitation Prep Cubs managed a 46-41 victory over the St. Andrew's Episcopal Lions. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cubs.

Georgetown Visitation Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keira Kabatt, who posted ten points and five boards. The dominant performance gave Kabatt a new career-high in points. Charlotte West was another key player, putting up seven points and 12 rebounds.

Georgetown Visitation Prep smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in six consecutive contests.

Soliya Solomon and Anna Beth Tsai-Turton certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Solomon scored 16 points, while Tsai-Turton had 14 points and seven boards. Tsai-Turton continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Safa Al-Uqdah Robinson, who earned seven points and six rebounds.

Georgetown Visitation Prep is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.2 points per game. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, they dropped their record down to 6-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
