After a string of four wins, the Clover Park Timberwolves's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 38-37 to Fife. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Clover Park has scored all season.
Clover Park's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kamila Salanoa, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds. Salanoa hasn't dropped below two blocks for ten straight games. Another player making a difference was Andralynne Harless, who scored six points along with 16 rebounds.
Clover Park's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4. As for Fife, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clover Park will take on Franklin Pierce at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin Pierce is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Fife, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Puyallup at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd.
