Make it ten blowout wins for the Notre Dame-Green Pond Crusaders this season. They breezed by Pen Argyl on the road to the tune of 70-38 on Saturday. The win was nothing new for Notre Dame-Green Pond as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Despite the loss, Pen Argyl saw an underclassman step up: Mason Soos scored 11 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Kennedy, who scored 13 points.
Pen Argyl struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They are 1-5 when they can't control their own glass like that.
Notre Dame-Green Pond's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.3 points per game. As for Pen Argyl, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which is still a better percentage than their 4-17 record this season.
Notre Dame-Green Pond will be playing at home against the Warriors at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilson Area will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 403rd, while the Crusaders are ranked 113th). As for Pen Argyl, they will head out on the road to face off against the Slaters at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
