The biggest upset of the week belonged to St. Francis de Sales, who took down 505th ranked Crossroads Area HomeSchool, 28-24.
Mt. Carmel extended the longest winning streak in Freelance this week by beating Washington, 60-41. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Aces.
Mater Dei's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Mike Martz threw for 206 and three touchdowns and Jared Thole had 65 yards receiving. On the ground Martz chipped in 131 yards. Ben Lampe helped Mater Dei's passing attack out by catching two balls for 45 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Martz and Drew Foppe the Knights have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Martz leads the league in passing with 769 yards, while Foppe has rushed for 432 yards this season. Mt. Carmel's Levi Laws leads the league in receiving yards with 437 on 21 catches.
Lake Forest Academy was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in the league. Earlier in the week, the Caxys triumphed over the Caxys 34-14.
