Even though the York Prep Patriots have not done well against the Buford Yellowjackets recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. York Prep simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Buford 47-20 at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for York Prep.
It was another big night for Payton Munsey, who dropped a triple-double on 12 points, ten rebounds, and ten blocks. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of York Prep's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Roberts, who scored ten points.
York Prep's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Buford, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. York Prep will take on Central at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Buford, they will head out on the road to face off against North Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Central comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
