Christ's Church Academy is a perfect 3-0 against Old Plank Christian Academy since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Christ's Church Academy Eagles will host the Old Plank Christian Academy Defenders at 6:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Christ's Church Academy was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Cedar Creek Christian on Monday. Christ's Church Academy put the hurt on Cedar Creek Christian with a sharp 24-1 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-run performance the game before.

Jack Rose looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Christ's Church Academy: the team is undefeated when he allows at most three hits, but 4-6 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Cole Hartfield was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Ligmanowski, who scored four runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Christ's Church Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cedar Creek Christian only posted a batting average of .154.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Old Plank Christian Academy). Everything went their way against Westside on Tuesday as Old Plank Christian Academy made off with an 18-1 victory. With that win, the Defenders brought their scoring average up to 7.2 runs per game.
Old Plank Christian Academy got a massive performance out of Kharis DuPree, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. DuPree also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Mark Reid, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Christ's Church Academy now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Old Plank Christian Academy, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.
Everything went Christ's Church Academy's way against Old Plank Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in February, as Christ's Church Academy made off with a 19-8 win.
