Basketball Recap: Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard]'s Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] had lost three straight headed into Saturday's game, but Lydia Robertson didn't let it get to four. The Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] Bobcats blew past the Boyd County Spartans 59-34 on Saturday thanks in part to Robertson, who went 8 of 17 on her way to 20 points in addition to eight boards and four steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kanyon Allemang, who posted 16 points along with five assists and five steals. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard]'s win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Boyd County, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] will host Stuart at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stuart will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] surely won't give up without a fight. As for Boyd County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Neligh-Oakdale on Thursday.
