The Faith Christian Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Holly Hill Academy Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Faith Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 19 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
On January 4th, Faith Christian took a serious blow against Colleton Prep Academy, falling 48-19. Faith Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-1.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Holly Hill Academy over Jefferson Davis Academy in every quarter on their way to victory on Monday. Holly Hill Academy walked away with a 23-12 win over Jefferson Davis Academy. The victory was just what Holly Hill Academy needed coming off of a 56-21 loss in their prior matchup.
Holly Hill Academy found their leader in underclassman Essie Wolpert, who scored ten points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Wolpert has scored at least a third of Holly Hill Academy's points.
Faith Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Holly Hill Academy, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-13.
Faith Christian suffered a grim 50-29 defeat to Holly Hill Academy when the teams last played back in November of 2018. Can Faith Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
