Devine had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Wagner Thunderbirds 3-0 on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Warhorses / Arabians in their matchups with the Thunderbirds: they've now won five in a row.

While Devine won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 27-25, 25-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Devine will take on Giddings at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wagner, they will square off against Southwest at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
