Urbana is 1-6 against the Arrows since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Urbana Hillclimbers will be playing at home against the Tecumseh Arrows at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Urbana has not done well against the Red Raiders recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Urbana enjoyed a cozy 53-34 win over the Red Raiders. 53 seems to be a good number for Urbana as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Peyton Mounce was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 33 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Urbana's points. Alisabeth Upchurch was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Tecumseh was able to grind out a solid win over the Lumberjacks on Thursday, taking the game 47-39. The win was just what Tecumseh needed coming off of a 48-20 defeat in their prior contest.
The win makes it two in a row for Urbana and bumps their season record up to 16-5. As for Tecumseh, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
Everything came up roses for Urbana against the Arrows when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 66-38 victory. Will Urbana repeat their success, or do the Arrows have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
