Caurus Academy were the 56-41 winner over the Orme Warriors when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. Caurus Academy fell to Orme 46-42. Caurus Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Orme was led to victory by Owen Rudolph and Bartek Kreglewski. Rudolph scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Kreglewski scored 18 points along with seven steals and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rudolph has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Nurzhan Murat, who scored five points.
Caurus Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season. As for Orme, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caurus Academy on the road again on Tuesday and play against Trinity Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Orme won't have much time to rest: their next game is against BASIS - Prescott at 5:00 p.m. on January 19th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (BASIS - Prescott is ranked 265th, while Orme is ranked 255th).
