The Trinity Celtics''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Conway Springs, falling 41-6. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Trinity in their matchups with Conway Springs: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Trinity still got an impressive performance from Eric Armour, who picked up 254 receiving yards and a touchdown. Armour was no stranger to the big play, connecting with a big catch that went for 67 yards.
It was another big night for Brayden Kunz, who rushed for 274 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.7 yards per carry. Kunz is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last seven games he's played. Isaac Winter also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Trinity now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Conway Springs, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
Trinity will head out on the road to face off against Plainville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Conway Springs, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Stanton County at 6:00 p.m. Stanton County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 205th, while Conway Springs is ranked 60th).
