Rimrock put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 49-33 victory over the Camas County Mushers. The Raiders pushed the score to 41-21 by the end of the third, a deficit the Mushers cut but never quite recovered from.
Several Mushers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Quinn Palan, who went 6 for 15 on his way to 13 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Xander Schofield, who posted six points along with eight boards and six steals.
Rimrock pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Camas County, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rimrock and Richfield will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Camas County will take on Dietrich in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dietrich knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Camas County likes a good challenge.
