Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Skates Past Oakhill Christian with Ease

Heritage Christian posted their biggest victory since December 8, 2023 on Friday. They blew past the Oakhill Christian Royals 67-25. The Defenders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Heritage Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was John Vander Muelen out in front who went 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points and six rebounds. Vander Muelen also grabbed a steal, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was James Regnerus, who posted 11 points.

Heritage Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oakhill Christian only posted six assists.

Joel O'Morrow and Isaac Vogel certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. O'Morrow put up ten points, while Vogel scored seven points.

The victory made it two in a row for Heritage Christian and bumps their season record up to 7-5. As for Oakhill Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11.

Heritage Christian has already played their next game, a 45-42 loss against Quentin Road Christian on the 17th. As for Oakhill Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 27-24 win against Bay City Baptist on the 17th.
