Everything went their way against Monmouth United as they made off with a 10-0 win. Gabby Dean made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

In other batting news, Ella Humphrey was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times she's played. Kenlee Carlson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stark County). They blew past Peoria 20-3 on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Rebels considering their two-run performance the game before.
Brooklynn Ostrowski looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, Hallie Newton was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Kenna Sparks was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Stark County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.7 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 9.6.
Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge]'s victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Stark County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-11-1 record this season.
Both Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] and Stark County just can't seem to miss. The Spartans have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.6 hits per game. However, it's not like Stark County struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge]'s way against Stark County when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] made off with a 16-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
