After soaring to 58 points the game before, the Providence Christian Academy Griffins were a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 59-24 loss at the hands of Tri-State Christian. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Providence Christian Academy has scored all season.
Bryce Unruh and Ethan Burrows certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Unruh scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Burrows scored ten points. Unruh is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least three every time he's taken the court this season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Providence Christian Academy struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Jackson Sartin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tri-State Christian, scoring 25 points along with five steals and two blocks. Sartin is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Falko, who scored ten points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
Providence Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Tri-State Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season.
Providence Christian Academy will head out on the road to square off against Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Varsity Opponent has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Tri-State Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Fellowship of Christian Athletes at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Fellowship of Christian Athletes has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while Tri-State Christian will arrive with three straight victories.
