The Berkeley Prep Buccaneers will face off against the Wesley Chapel Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Berkeley Prep had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate on Tuesday. Berkeley Prep never let Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. Considering the Buccaneers have won four matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Nolan Parmer tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mason Warren, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Herrmann, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Berkeley Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate only posted an OBP of .211.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wesley Chapel). They put the hurt on Springstead with a sharp 10-0 win on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on four straight.
Wesley Chapel also got a great performance from Eli Chana as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Nolan Hartley was a standout: he scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Dylan Pabon, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.
Berkeley Prep is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. Wesley Chapel's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-4.
Wesley Chapel's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Berkeley Prep hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .312. It's a different story for Wesley Chapel, though, as they've only averaged .215. Will they be able to contain Berkeley Prep's hitters?
