The More Academy Crusaders lost against the Lapeer Lakers Homeschool Lakers back in February of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. More Academy took a 53-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lapeer Lakers Homeschool.
Lapeer Lakers Homeschool found their leader in underclassman Aiden Lomasney, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lomasney has scored at least 25% of Lapeer Lakers Homeschool's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Boal, who scored five points along with 11 rebounds and five assists.
More Academy bumped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Lapeer Lakers Homeschool, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. More Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Michigan School for the Deaf at 5:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. As for Lapeer Lakers Homeschool, they will be playing at home against Juniata Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
