Basketball Recap: Trinity Lutheran Piles Up the Points Against West Washington

Trinity Lutheran won the last time they faced West Washington and things went their way on Monday too. The Trinity Lutheran Cougars claimed a resounding 57-28 victory over the West Washington Senators. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 29 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Marley Warren, who posted 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rachel Bonde, who had ten points.

Despite the loss, West Washington still got an impressive performance from Meredith Deaton, who went 7 of 16 en route to 21 points and seven rebounds. The contest was Deaton's 13th in a row with at least ten points.

Trinity Lutheran has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for West Washington, they dropped their record down to 10-9 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Trinity Lutheran wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 55-32 win against Oldenburg Academy on the 21st. As for West Washington, they will challenge Springs Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
