After flying high against Ledford  last Tuesday, Oak Grove came back down to earth. The Grizzlies fell just short of the Panthers by a score of  6-4 on Friday. The Grizzlies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won  8-0.
 Cam Sharpe put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out six over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with one  RBI.

 In other batting news,  Kaden Hart made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3. He also  launched a  home run, which is notable because Oak Grove is 4-1 when he posts  at  least  one  home run, but 4-6 otherwise.  Addison Terry was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  double.
Oak Grove has  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record  this season. As for Ledford, they now  have a winning record of 8-7.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oak Grove will welcome Northwest Guilford  at 5:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Ledford, they will host Asheboro  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
