After flying high against the Highland Rams on Saturday, the Timberline Wolves came back down to earth. Timberline fell to Eagle 57-51. Timberline was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Eagle apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.
Leading Eagle to victory were Paige Cofer and Berkley Jones. Cofer scored 18 points along with 6 rebounds, while Jones scored 20 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Cofer has scored at least 25% of Eagle's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mary (molly) johnson, who scored 8 points along with 7 rebounds.
Timberline now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Eagle, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Timberline will be playing in front of their home fans against Kuna at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (Kuna is ranked 43rd, while Timberline is ranked 53rd). As for Eagle, they will head out on the road to face off against Boise at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Boise is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.
