Softball Recap: Harrison Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Harrison and Mountain Home, and Mountain Home kept the tradition alive. The Harrison Goblins lost 12-3 to the Mountain Home Bombers on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Goblins in their meetings with the Bombers: they've now lost three in a row.

Harrison saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eliana Warner, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.

Harrison's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Mountain Home, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harrison will host Greenwood at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Harrison has given up an average of 14.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Mountain Home, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Izard County at 4:30 p.m.
