The Los Gatos Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Milpitas Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Los Gatos is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
Los Gatos pushed their score all the way to 60 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Los Altos 65-60. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Los Gatos came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Eagles are ranked 400th).
Los Gatos' loss came about despite a quality game from Nolan G. koch, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. G. koch hasn't dropped below 17 points for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Scotty Brennan, who scored eight points along with two blocks.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Milpitas had to settle for a 50-47 loss against the Spartans on Thursday. Milpitas has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Los Gatos' loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Milpitas, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season.
Los Gatos won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in January, slipping by the Trojans 56-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for Los Gatos since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
