While losing is never fun, Emmanuel Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 606th, while Samson is ranked 171st).
Meanwhile, Liberty County had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.9 points), and they went ahead and made it ten on Monday. They took down Port St. Joe 44-27.
Liberty County relied on the efforts of Caleigh Peddie, who scored 14 points, and Gabriella Flowers, who scored 18 points.
Emmanuel Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Liberty County, they pushed their record up to 14-2 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.
