South Harrison has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Wirt County Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
South Harrison suffered their biggest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Friday. They suffered a rough 72-47 defeat at the hands of Frankfort.
Meanwhile, Wirt County waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 68-52 victory over Gilmer County.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wirt County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braylan Dawson, who scored 20 points along with five steals. Dawson continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Alex Bevel was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
South Harrison's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Wirt County, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
South Harrison didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Wirt County in their previous matchup back in January of 2020, but they still walked away with a 58-54 victory. Does South Harrison have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wirt County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
