Volleyball Recap: Kickapoo Has No Trouble Against Carthage

Kickapoo's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They blew past the Carthage Tigers 3-0. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Chiefs yet this season.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-16, 25-20.

Kickapoo found their leader in sophomore Brittan Smith, who had 19 digs and two aces. Smith is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 18 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Adi Bratcher also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

The victory got Kickapoo back to even at 4-4. As for Carthage, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3-1.

Kickapoo didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Mascoutah on the 12th. As for Carthage, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Ozark on the 16th.
