Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Kickapoo's Third in Last Four Outings

Carthage came into Thursday's contest looking for another win against Kickapoo, but Brittan Smith wouldn't allow it. The Chiefs blew past the Tigers 3-0 on Thursday with plenty of help from Smith, who had 19 digs and two aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 18 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16, 25-20.

Kickapoo has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for Carthage, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3-1.

Kickapoo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Mascoutah on the 12th. As for Carthage, they will face off against Ozark at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
