When it comes to explaining why North Salinas lost, one person who can't be blamed is Shane Taylor. Despite the final result, he scored 11 points along with five steals. Taylor has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Angel Lizaola was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
North Salinas has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Soledad, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-10.
