Elkmont found their leader in freshman Makayla Nowlin, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nowlin has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Howell, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 11 points and three steals.
Elkmont smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 18 consecutive games.
Elkmont's victory bumped their record up to 7-16. As for Clements, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.
