Drake Travis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Douglas County West, scoring 20 points along with five assists. Those five assists set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Ryker Wohlers, who scored 14 points.
Raymond Central bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.0 points per game. As for Douglas County West, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Raymond Central won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Malcolm at 4:10 p.m. on December 16th. Malcolm presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Raymond Central in Nebraska (Malcolm is ranked 53rd, while Raymond Central is ranked 254th). As for Douglas County West, they will head out on the road to face off against West Point-Beemer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully West Point-Beemer focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Thursday.
