The San Marcos Knights will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Poway Titans at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully San Marcos focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
San Marcos unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak. They were the victim of a rough 65-44 defeat at the hands of Mission Hills. San Marcos has not had much luck with Mission Hills recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Mazen El Bissat put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Derek Tuason was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, Poway's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They took down Rancho Bernardo 68-54. The victory was just what Poway needed coming off of a 68-36 loss in their prior matchup.
San Marcos' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-5. As for Poway, their win bumped their record up to 9-13.
San Marcos strolled past Poway in their previous meeting back in January of 2022 by a score of 67-48. Does San Marcos have another victory up their sleeve, or will Poway turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
