Basketball Recap: Chino Comes Up Short

On Saturday, the Chino Cowboys lost to the West Warriors on the road by a 73-55 margin. The Cowboys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Chino still got an impressive performance from Dario Shields, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 boards. The contest was Shields' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Yousef Ihmud, who posted eight points.

Even though they lost, Chino was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Chino's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for West, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-8.

Chino didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-52 victory against Diamond Ranch on the 8th. As for West, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 68-41 defeat against El Segundo on the 7th.
