It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Parrish Community Bulls had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They took down the Pirates 63-49. With that win, Parrish Community brought their scoring average up to 50.5 points per game.
It was another big night for Mary Portwood, who almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Alexis Heuss, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Parrish Community is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Boca Ciega, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.
Parrish Community will take on Sebring at TBD on Friday. Sebring will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Parrish Community surely won't give up without a fight. Boca Ciega does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
